Are these STD symptoms or something else altogether?

A little over 7 weeks ago, I received unprotected oral sex from an escort. I'm experiencing these symptoms for about a week: very frequent urination (was little amount and weak stream, now full amount and stream every time), sore testicles, constant lower back pain/pressure, very rare cramping (in like the area of public hair), and a slight, but constant tingling in my groin (kind of like it's lightly asleep). I do not have any pain or burning while urinating, nor have I had any discharge from my penis whatsoever. Does this sound like an STD, or a completely unrelated illness? With this amount of time since potential exposure, having the above symptoms, but no discharge at all eliminate chlamydia or ghonnerha? I am very grateful to hear your thoughts.

I had the exact same thing happen to me and its been going on for over four months. Have been tested time and time again for STD's and was told i was clear on more than 5 occasions. A GP told me I had epididymitis and gave me antibiotics but an ultrasound scan confirmed it wasnt that. Keep an eye out for clear discharge as thats what happened to me around 8-10 weeks plus redness on te head.
It seems like a cloudy patch with doctors!
Let us know how u get on

It would be very unusual to pick up an STI from oral sex, even if the escort had one. I'd see a doctor anyway though, as it sounds like there's some kind of problem. M guess would be that it's an unrelated infection. Not having discharge wouldn't rule out chlamydia btw, and around half of all men with it have no symptoms at all.
You could either see your GP, or if you're in the UK, you could go to a genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinic - google "GUM clinic near me" for details.
If you could update this thread and tell us what the doctors say, it would be appreciated. Good luck.

I appreciate your reply. You mentioned that it would be unusual to pick up an STI receiving oral sex; everything I've read said it's very common. Don't mean that combatively, just curious as to why you feel that way, or where you found different information?

It's certainly possible to pick up STIs from oral sex, but it just doesn't seem to happen very often. It's hard to put figures on the relative risk compared to vaginal sex (the best article I could find was a Salon article headlined "how risky is oral sex"
, but I don't see how the risk could be more than 20% that of vaginal sex at most, and for a woman giving oral sex to a man as in your case, the risk is mostly to the woman.
I know some men and women who are fairly promiscuous (including a couple of swingers who make the rest of us look shy and retiring) and quite happy to talk about it, but as far as I know, none of them has ever used or been asked to use a condom for oral sex, and I've never heard of anyone using dental dam to give a woman oral sex, though that's what safer sex guidelines usually recommend. If the risk of contracting an STI from oral sex was even half the risk from vaginal sex though, I think condoms and dental dams would be standard practice.

I appreciate your response and your thoughts. It makes a great deal of sense and would mirror my personal beliefs prior to this scare and reading way too much information, hence what put me in this position. I have to admit that each hour that passes I do feel a little better, even though I am still urinating frequently. Either the azithromycin is working on whatever bacterial issue I had, or if it was viral it's finally starting to make its way out. Optimistic that it isn't an STI at least. Thank you again.

Here's a better timeline with some more information if that will be helpful: 1- Roughly 8 weeks ago I was potential infected orally.... 2- I had no symptoms whatsoever until less than a week ago.... 3- First symptom seemed like hernia pain.... 4- Next, my testicles became sore/achy, groin area has a slight tingling/vibration sensation, lower back aches. Urge to urinate frequently, but urine flow was weak and amount was below normal.... 5- Paranoid, I took 1.5g of Azithromycin in case of STI, about 42 hours ago.... 6- Frequency of urination is even higher now, normal flow and amount- peeing constantly. Lower backache continues. Testicles feel better, however they look worse- a darker, almost purple discoloartion. The head of my penis has a slight yellowish tint as well. Still no discharge at all.... Can't afford the dr visit until I'm paid next week.
