Yes should be. Without meds it can last for weeks.

So the medicine will definitely clear them up in a couple of days

Definitely, it is variable. But if you start the meds so early, the blisters stage maight take 2 or 3 days. So the whole outbreak might take less than 2 weeks. Take care that the outbreak is not only just blisters. Outbreak means tingling then blisters then pimples then scabs. Scabs itself might take a week to go but they are not itchy.

The whole issue is extremely variable.

I’ve heard antiseptic creams can help numb them but i haven’t tried it. Even the lidocaine I’m not quite sure where it’s safe to apply but i hear it works wonders.

Herpes has stages three weeks to clear, the blister a week then it pops sore pain a week then it sheds a week.

Blisters pretty much always hurt, its uncomfortable and painful to pee. My last outbreak without any medication lasted 2 weeks from first "flu like" symptoms to full shedding. It was awful but the side effects of acyclovir knock me it and I had to work.

Still waiting for results but doctor doesn’t believe I have herpes. I never had any pain at all Or any blisters that I felt or saw. I just had spots and they were gone in 36 hours

When your blisters popped and turned into ulcers did they hurt as well

And can you only notice the ulcers and not blisters. I never saw blisters

I would say the ulcers hurt more because they were open and quite irritable. Usually the blisters are like pimples.

It's different between the genders but for myself, a dude, it lasted like a freight train of pain for about 2 months and I have never had a problem with it since. I don't know I have it, it's that benign once my immune system caught up.

I agree. I have a no pain at all with an OB. I get one single sore in the same spot under my right testicle.  It only bothers me because I know it’s there...but again, never any pain with it. No blisters either. Mine starts out as a hard bump that seems to fill with puss.

Yeah I never had blisters or bumps just a mild itch. I thought I was a yeast infection so I used Monistat. The Monistat burnt like crazy so I looked down and noticed some crater like spots. I washed in tub off the topical medicine right away because it didn’t burn until I applied it. Spot were there the next day but by the next morning (36 hours later) everything was gone like nothing ever happened ? Waiting to see what my results say. Doc says out breaks don’t heal that fast on their own ?
