Area on penis head showing white colour - no other symptoms

Hi,

An area at the top of my penis head has changed to a whitish colour. It has been like this for 5 years and I wondered what it is or if there is a medical term for it?

I'm asking for aesthetical reasons, there is no pain, no itchiness, no patches, no irritation. It is still smooth just like the rest of the penis head. I haven't had sex before so its not an STD or anything.

It is sometimes not that obvious, especially when there is a lot of blood flow like after a hot shower.

It shows up both when erect and flaccid, but perhaps less noticeable when erect. It varies quite a lot, sometimes I don't notice it really.

When I touch the white areas, I can still feel myself touching it like normal. I haven't lost any sensation when touching it. Could it be due to friction? Is there a cream that can help?
