Woke up one morning with pins and needles in right arm. When I lifted a cup it felt light. Now I still have pins and needles along with severe stiffness in arm, no real pain though.

Hi Angela, I'm not a doctor so I would like to attempt to diagnose you. When I had Carpal Tunnel, my hands would go to sleep before I went to sleep just lying in bed and would take an eternity to come back to life when I woke up in the morning.
Swinging them, standing up, pinching my fingers would eventually bring them back to life. They would ache afterwards though like your hands was in a vice with constant gentle pressure.
I'm not sure what your describing though is the same thing.
I eventually had surgery for Carpal tunnel in both hands, it's not without its downsides though, so don't consider it a cure all.

Not diagnose, I wouldn't like to diagnose you..... heaven forbid I should read my messages back!!!
