armpit feels full and pain is creeping into further areas like the ribcage under the armpit

Does this sound familiar? The shocks are gone the ROM is awful and the aches are dull or nagging but it messes with me depression wise. 😔

Yes, this is exactly how I feel!  I also have quite a bit of tenderness on the area of my back, directly behind and going into my armpit.  Very tender, and the whole are feels like it could be swollen as well.  I know exactly what you mean about "shocks," and mine seem to be gone too.  I hope this mean we've turned a corner, but at the same time, this new tenderness in the armpit is no fun.  It gives me some sort of comfort to come here and see that I'm not the only one experiencing these symptoms.

    Hi tracey30163,

It gets better. I remember the shocks. I urge you to see a doctor, an orthopedist. I went to a gen doctor, then for pt, and finally to an orthopedist. She gave me steroid shots into the shoulder, then a couple movements to break the scar tissue. Now that I'm 51, I have to keep up these movements or I lose range of motion after a couple days. Before the shots, I used to get these shocks. The only thing I can think of is nerves bring pinched. Ouch. So, obviously to reduce inflammation you have to use NSAIDS like advil. You can use ice for pain, but I was also told that heat applied increases blood flow. It's hard to know what'd best and some was counterintuitive, so my best advice is to see an orthopedic doctor who can narrow down what's really going on and recommend best course of treatment. Use it or lose it. Don't give up on your shoulder joint. You need it! So, advocate for you self and see a dr. Don't give up. It will get better and you'll be raising both arms to a happy dance soon!

Best health to you and the other shoulder pain sufferers!

If you have lingering pain at this stage it is most likely adhesions, as in scar tissue, that need to be released. Pt can do this as well as therapeutic massage. It's not fun but when it's done you will fell much better!
