A side effect of the medication Prednisone. Oral, ointment, cream, salve I can use for my arms?

Prednisone is a steroid and with long term use the skin tissue on your arms has become fragile.
This bruising is so common and there is not much you can do to protect your arms apart from trying not to knock or catch them on anything. You could also try wearing long sleeves as protection. You can use any sort of body cream,but its not likely to help with the bruising.
If you have been taking this for a very long time have you asked your doctor if there is any alternative medication without this side effect?

How high is the dose you are on? Sometimes, they can lower the dose a bit. It wouldn't necessarily get rid of the problem, but it might help improve it some. I've been in your shoes and i understand how frustrating it is.
