My podiatrist told me I would be nonweight bearing for two months, but as a fiftyish year old woman who is 25 pounds over weight, I only managed to go six weeks. Now I have serious damage to the knee of the leg that was bearing all the weight:-(

Also, the doctor refused to give me additional medication after two weeks, though I was in excruciating pain, which continued for eight more days.

So here I am, ten weeks late, and the foot is pretty sore and swollen.

I stopped going to that doctor because he made me feel insignificant. It was as if everything I told him didn’t mean anything.

Honestly, I wish to God I hadn’t done this. I didn’t have to, but I wanted the toe aligned.

Good luck. And remember, this is solely my experience. And I do not tell anyone what they should do.
