Arthritis in feet

I have arthritis in my feet. I have an appointment to see a specialist but not until July, I'm just taking panadine forte for pain relief at the moment but it does have side effects. I was wondering if there is better pain relief out there and what other people are taking. I'm getting very frustrated. Tramadol make me feel really sick so they are out. Thanks

Hello Jane, the Ibuprofen gels have worked most of the time I have pain wherever I have pain as do the Salonpas patches.  I prefer not to take pain releivers by mouth but have found that as I get older I wait to take Paracetamol tablets just before leaving the house.  Keeping busy seems to help and resting my feet appears to help now that my feet appear to also be painful.  I pain a lot to buy specialized footsoles and didn't wear them enough. some people have good results, however. I like what is said in responses is to call the doctor and make an earlier appointment if possible and certainly mention the other medication, Nefopam.

Pain can be releived somewhat by meditation and has helped with my fibromyalgia too.
