Arthroscopic repair of rotator cuff and swelling in arm

I had surgery on the 30th. I was doing well but have developed redness, swelling and itching in my upper arm below the incisions. I had 21 lymph nodes removed 26 years ago during a lumpectomy. Could this be related? Has anyone else experienced this?

I want to ask as well, does lymph nodes also locate at the back of the shoulder? How old are you now?

Any redness, swelling, right after surgery in my opinion is an infection. I would immediately contact the doctor. Are you on a series of anabiotic‘s? If not you should be after surgery. That’s usually routine. Good luck with everything

It's not an infection. Was given antibiotics during surgery. Turned out to be reaction to the work done on the biceps they said.

Definitely either call your doctor or go in, sounds like an infection.

Determined not to be an infection. The next day it turned brownish and purplish as in bruising. Reaction to the work done on the biceps they said.
