Good for you!!!!! Month 5. Numbness, hard as a rock , tourniquet feeling. Knee pain. Can hardly bend knee get into the shower. So stiff. What symptoms did you have? How did they decide you had too much scar tissue?

it was awful! If I tried to lift or bend my knee it was all pain. so at 9 months they took a fluid sample to make sure no regection or infection, which there was none, told me to wait a year....11 month went in had him put hand on knee, moved it and he said, when you want surgery, so 2 weeks later here i am!

I am 11 months ltkr and still having limited bend and extension. My pt believes I also have some scar tissue. I don't have pain but my knee still swells when I do to much. I see surgeon next month but six months ago he told me to just keep moving and never mentioned any surgery to remove scar tissue. How did your surgeon determine you needed this surgery?

I am two years out from Bilateral TKR. I could tell within two weeks that my right knee was not doing as well as my left knee. I have a terrible tight band feeling around my knee. I hurts and I have lost rom. It also clunks quite a bit. I'm looking at scar tissue removal also. My surgeon told me I would not need to do physical surgery after the removal. Are you having to do any type of therapy? I thought therapy was always needed after scar tissue removal. I'm so happy for you. I know exactly how you feel.
