I have developed a boil in my ear canal I had 1 13yr ago and it took a week for it to burst by then I was in agony and cried with pain everyday I sat with a cup of boiling water hoping the steam would help it burst but nothing helped it

Nothing the doctor can do for it so a quess it will need 2 run its course

I have problems with my ears anyway I had a mastoid and now have a ventilation tube in so this just adds 2 it

but on top of fibro you must be claiming the walls

look into collidaul silver and oil of oregano many people use these for treating

ear problems have a look on the net see if you can get any info .on how to use it i use silver to control the wax in my ears and for any wounds anywhere on the body . but i am not sure about boils .hope you feel better soon  .

Hi Chris, so sorry to hear you're in even more pain!! I'm with Tiswas on Coloidal Silver I use it on my dogs ears, I would definitely check on line first but it could help get rid of the nasty beastie. Have you tried the doctor, if you  haven't had the problem for a long time there may be something he can do now. Is it in a place you can touch it? Perhaps a bit of Surgical Spirit on a cotton bud gently touching it will help it dry out but only if you can reach it easily and not enough liquid that it will drip into your ear.

    hope it goes soon

    Take care

Hi Chris, are you sure there is nothing your doctor can do? Have you had antibiotics? Boils are caused by staph infection which is bacterial so responds to antibiotics. And what about pain relief? Are you taking any? Both of these would make you more comfortable. xx

    Hi all

I haven't been to the doctor with this as last time as I said it was 13yr ago and they couldn't do anything them but as said many years have past so I will make doc app ( emergency if over whelming pain over weekend) as things maybe different now

I have tramadol so that's keeping it bearable just now although it's 1 of they pains that if I didn't know it was a boil I'd wonder if this pain was toothache or ear pain as around that whole area

Because I have had major surgery on both ears I am restricted on using anything I do attend hospital every 6mth and next due April I also have my ears vacuumed once a year if needed this was done at last visit so it's not that

O, precious Chris..that's terrible...and on top of Fibro..grr...Soooo sad that you have to come off Amiltripltilyne  I take 25 mg a night..they are just amazing for me...have done for over sixteen years now..I did start on 50 mg, but I was like a zombie the next day....a few years ago I dropped to 10mg a night, but still had sleepless nights with pain so doc put them back up 25 mg..perfect for me..I guess what's good fir one isn't for another with this rotten Fibro...do hooe your ok, that the infection is gone really soon..have a great weekend..be blessed..praying for a breakthrough for you too..:-) xxx
