Ascending Thoraic Aneurysm

I have my regular 8 month visit coming up with my cardiologist soon. Have had a ATA for over 5 years with little to no growth(around 5.3 cm). I've told when the time comes, the only treatment is surgery.
I just read about a "percutaneous femoral artery approach."https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6555279/
Not sure if this is just for special cases or if I could have this as an alternative to regular surgery. If not at this time, could this be an alternative in the future?
Thanks.

Do what your doctors says and ask him for good, sound advice.
