Asked about suicide and fatigue etc in PIP assessment

Been to my PIP assessment today. I have multiple physical and MH health issues but not sure how they fit into the points system. The asseessor asked about whether I ever felt suicidal and how tired I felt but how would either of these things score you the needed points? And why do they ask what meds you are on when again they don't score you anything? I'm just not sure how this all works.

Also why were they interested in whether I went out and socialised? And what i did at home? This doesn't seem to come in to the points allocation either.

It is all to do with them forming an all-round picture of us. I was asked the same questions.

Hi Pipetta the going out thing is in the points system. It comes under the descriptor of socialising and seeing if you can go out and if you get anxious when you are out. Also the thing about what you do at home it is so they can decide if you have the capacity to concentrate for periods of time for example watch the tv read a book ect. They then dertemine if have written on your form you find it hard to concentrate then you would not beable to watch a full programme or fread a book as you would keep getting distacted. They are little buggers and will try and catch you out ! Good luck hope you get the result you deserve
