Asking for the 'other half'.

hi, i don',t know if anyone on here can help? my husband lost his sister 8 weeks ago. no funeral date, no information or anything. last week he gave me a shove across the room due to grief, we think? he's had bouts of depression in the past. how do i know it's grief and separate how he feels from depression. is there a set of symptoms i can see if it is grief related. can grief lead to depression? also how can i help if he doesn"t speak to me?
