At my wits end!!:(

I was told I had 2 cysts on my right ovary. Measuring 7 and 6 cm last year.

I was down for an urgent operation in April that still hasn't happened due to miscommunication of one hospital and the other.

Today I've woken up and my stomach has double in sized in bloating and the pain from my cyst is unbearable. I can sit and be comfortable. If I lcough or sneeze I get pain and pressure where I imagine the dust to be. I'm constipated and feel sick when I eat.

Are these normal signs from the dust as they have happened suddenly and I've never had them before?

Do you think the dust could have grown which is why the pain is worse.

I'm so fed up of being passed around from pillar to post I feel like no doctors are taking me seriously.

I don't know hon...when are they next going to check the size of the cysts? I would go back to my GP and ask to be scanned or go to A and E if you're in enough pain to go through all that.

I've had no plans of rechecking cysts at all. Was last checked in April and that was last I heard. Currently going through secretary's and doctors emails and phone calls hoping to get somewhere. Now been told the doctor who was

Down toperforms this surgery for me is out of the country for 5 weeks 😡😡

My advice to you is to get this sorted asap, cysts can grow, some quicker than others, did they tell you what kind of cysts they were?  go and see your doctor tomorrow it should not have been left this long.  Good luck

    Hi Shannon

Please don't suffer in silence - get yourself to A &E and lay it on thick.

Go to the A&E in the hospital in your area that deals with women's health and does the Gynaecological operations(you can find this on the internet) and just tell them you are in agony and you will be scanned and if you are lucky they will do the operation pretty quickly. If you are that bloated it could be that the cyst has ruptured, I am not saying it definitely has but it could be a possibility and you should get that checked and soon, today.

A man wouldn't sit there in that amount of discomfort! Go and get some help sweetie. smile

Hi Shannon. I agree with the others who said go to A n E, or ER if in US. Tell them it's unbearable now and you think it might have burst the pain and discomfort is so bad. You will have to lay it on thick but it might get you sorted quicker. The consultants Registrar can perform this surgery also and there are other consultants on call for emergencies anyway. Good luck, be assertive. rolleyes

Hi Pollyanna. I've ended up in a and e twice thinking they have burst due to pain and both times I had a blood test and some in medication and was told everything was fine and to go home.

I think as I'm only 19 and young they don't take me seriously. So frustrating X

Hi again Shannon. If I were youI would try to speak to your consutants secretary and tell her everything you've said on here. She can speak to whichever surgeon she thinks can help and possibly get him/her to phone you. I mean at the last hospital you attended. If you have an appointment card or letter with consultants name on it from previous visits it should also give you a phone number to call. Ask the clinic for the secretary's number. If you don't have these details you may have to go back to your GP and explain everything to him/her. Don't give up now, keep trying to contact the consultant. X

Can you ask them to scan you to see if cyst is still there? Surgery carries with it its own risks. I've also had cysts but couldn't face signing the consent form allowing them to take my ovaries.

Does anyone know the waiting time for these ops? I was told 16 weeks was the maximum waiting time. I'm 13 weeks in since I consented for the op and haven't even had my pre op yet that's on 3 weeks time!

From what happened to me today with the "schedulers" at the hospital I don't think they do the pre-op until they are ready to do the surgery. I would definitely call them and ask at the very least as it will help you emotionally prepare once you have the date.
