Hi Vicky89033 bless your heart you are going through it. Its not on or fair when your not getting the help support needed. Your gp should be doing all they can to get you sorted out. It sounds to me like your having a massive flare up when we are ill with other things fibro makes them 10x wprse. rest and sleep as much as you can. Are you able to see different dr at your practice or change to a different practice if drs arnt much help where you are. I would get back in touch with your gp tell them you need help and that the pills you were given havnt helped. Hope you can get the help you need. take care

Hello Vicky.so sorry you have been feeling so ill.have you ever had  a thyriod function test (blood Test) because this sounds a lot like my thyriod symptoms specially the fact you have lost so much weight. Could you go and see another GP in your practice or even the Diabetic Nurse.Hope you can find the answeres soon.

Hi Vicky; am wondering are you under the care of a Rhuematologist?  This specialist is the primary carer for people like us who have Fibro......you certainly are having some Major problems (more than I ever had at one time).............also what medications/therapies are you having?  Perhaps a massage/physio on neck may help with the headaches?  I know that feeling very well......myself, I strap my neck muscles with Sports Tape , and sometimes even wear a neck brace, to bed, as this is when I find my neck stiffens, causing the headaches......as for the vertigo, that too is sometihing that most of us suffer, and Yes to the Weakness.....both arms and legs for me....they ache terribly and my legs always feel like Jelly......the only answer that I have is for you to try wearing either TED stockings on legs of Tubigrip on arms and legs. This does help a little with the pain and weakness................as for EDs and GPs, I think most of us know that we don't get help from either, as they themselves Don't know anything re Fibro, so can't really help (I find that I have to tell my GP what I need in line of meds etc), after speaking to Rhuematologist............another thing that I do is always keep Sweet things in house like Jelly or Jelly lollies/sweets......it is usually in the evenings that I feel the need for same..............well after that long speel, hopefully you have found something of use.............good luck, Bron

Rhuematologist ive seen only diagnoses and told me she cant see fibro patients so no follow up or treatment plan. Its been left to my GP to decide on meds and they cant figure out which symptoms are related to fibro. im taking gabapentin 100mg x3 daily have already tried amytriptiline, norytriptiline and pregablin nothings given any relief. doctor has refered me now to physio for neck issues so hopefully they can help thanks for your reply

Your gp can refer you to a pain clinic see if they would do that for you.Im not on medication as unable to take it so cant help pain wise. has your dr tried you on morphine pain patches.I saw a rheumatologist who diagnosed me but then sent me packing to my gp for pain relief. Your gp should be doing all they can to help you. Hope you get some much needed help soon
