At what age did you start really skipping periods?

Posted , 4 users are following.

I turned 44 in June and haven't had a period since. Before then I was irregular but not for this long. So what's going on? Is this the beginning?

Can you guys tell me what age you started skipping 1, 2, 3 months of periods?

Definitely mine was 44. I was clockwork since my teens. It was about two months. Then I was clockwork again. Then after that it spread out to about 40 days. Then I was having periods every two weeks. Then I went back to normal, started skipping again, more frequent, even had a couple within a week of each other. Then skipping 2-3 months. I am turning fifty-one this weekend. I am setting here with swollen breasts & PMS cravings. Welcome to Peri where your periods will be off the charts with no rhyme or reason.

    Hi Carissa,

I was 46 when I skipped my first period. Then regular for a while as far as timing, but bleeding got lighter/stop and start. Then skipped another. and so on.

51 now, and skipping 3 or 4 in a row reliably now.
