Atenolol and broncospasms

was on atenolol because of afib. went off due to side effects, went back on,couldn't handle symptoms and afib came back. also started magnesium tartrate same time I went off atenolol. had a bad reaction 2 weeks ago after taking my evening mag and atenolol, 12.5 night and morning at the time. had horrible breathing problem and intense palpitations. went off the magnesium the next day. still having bronchospasms that get better, then worse. I also went through valium withdrawals for just over 3 yrs, but was doing better until I got diagnosed with afib, had covid and now started mag taurate and messing with my atenolol. the first time on atenolol, had no problem breathing, during valium withdrawals had breathing problems and surprisingly had bad reaction with magnesium during valium withdrawals. my question is, anyone who's stopped and restarted atenolol, did you have trouble breathing? trying to figure out if what I'm experiencing is due to the atenolol, or reactivation of valium withdrawals due to the magnesium and if you lowered the dose did it help you breathe? thanks

I'm now off the atenolol for 7 days but the breathing problem gets better, then worse. do you have breathing problems, or did you, on atenolol or coming off it? I don't understand why it comes and goes. thanks, sorry you're having such a hard time coming off, it's up and down for me
