Atenolol and Mirt

 I Have been having Palpitation and can't sleep very well at night, Mirt is not helping me sleep right and my Gp gave me Atenolol .Have been checking my Blood pressure and heart rate and they are normal when am calm. Am really worried if and how i can take Atenolol. Please can anybody with similar situation advice?

    hi,i have ben on atenolol for ages with no probs.my blood pressure is high but me + gp have attributed this to the mirt.I started to cut it after 18 months.

      when and How do you take atenolol and Mirt? have been on mirt for 6years now, i do take 30mg of mirt at bed time and is not even helping me to sleep anymore

    Just a thought ... sometimes Mirt' can "poop out" - stop working, it can then send you into involuntary withdrawal, with symtpoms equal to those of the reason you went on it in the first place.  Anxiety, insomnia, nausea etc ... look out for any other symtoms, and be aware if this is happening to you, you will still have to do a slow taper.
