Had a calcium score test and had a score of 16, above average for my age, 56, and sex, female. With slight furring of the arteries and now taking aspirin, 75mg, daily.
just want to know what that calcium score means with regard to the internal damage in my body and what it implies for the future. Is this indicating a serious condition and, if so, how to prevent its progression?

I would have thought that 16 was danger free.
Your test result is a number that is your calcium score. The score can range from 0 to more than 400. Any score over 100 means that you are likely to have heart disease. The higher your score, the greater your chance of having a heart attack.
People who score between 100 and 400 or higher, and who are at medium risk for heart disease, are more likely to have a heart attack in the next 3 to 5 years than people who score 0.

That sounds fine, but it did say in the consultant's report that my
Calcium score was high for my age and sex. Perhaps I need to check t
That report again in case I have misunderstood it, but I have been
Diagnosed with that disease and as having slight furring of the
Arteries..

I was diagnosed with it and angina in 1993 on the basis of a stress ECG after going to the hospital with chest pain. An angiogram much later showed my arteries to be clear and that it had been a false positive. A later stress ECG and and stress echocardiogram also gave false positives but I had to again have angiograms to prove them wrong.
I've never had a scan for my calcium score and at 82 I don't think it is worth it :-)
What prompted your calcium score to be checked?
