Ativan

So I've been taking Ativan on and off for a couple weeks.

Is it uncommon for the calming feeling to last into the next day, or is it just in my mind?

I normally take .5 mg but sometimes (like today) I will take .25 which people say is not enough to do anything but I swear it works for me.

I get irritated, dizzy, kind of depressed, and anxious. That's how I felt today and I took .25 about 1 1/2 hours ago, now I'm just relaxing. I'm not sure if its all in my mind or the Ativan working. Anyone have similar experiences?

Its not advised to change around the dosage unless you are doing a slow careful tapering off ( or if you only take one occasionally).

When you reduce the dosage you start to withdraw and some of the effects of withdrawal are irritability, insomnia, and anxiety.

When you take a small amount on a regular basis for years, it keeps you from experiencing withdrawal bit if you take a smaller dose or miss taking any you will feel it.

You might not even need them for anxiety anymore, but getting off them can bring on anxiety for a while.

I got off them and I still have panic attacks, but rarely and not as bad as before.

    Best wishes.
