Hi Carl,
that doesn't sound like withdrawal. You wouldn't have such a strong reaction after only one day.
Maybe you have a stomach flu?
I recommend you stay on that dose for a few weeks before you taper again.
Best wishes.

This definitely isn't withdrawal Carl as it would be far to soon,

How long have you been taking it? I've been on it since the beginning of August and am scared of withdrawals.

Yes. Tired but can never sleep because I'm anxious. I think the inter-dose withdrawals make me anxious.

I'm so sorry. It's exhausting. I want my life back. I am seeing my psychiatrist this week to talk about getting off of it, but I'm scared.

I was on 3 mg a day for 20 years. If I got off this, anyone can just about. Takes a lot of courage, guts and tireless nights and days. Took me 5 months to be completely off. It is called tapering a small amount weekly or monthly till you are off. I was going to Pain specialists due to physical dissabilities and in order to get my pain meds, I had to go off. But at my own pace. Better now than 20 years ago. I only lost sleep and tons of it and a little nervous at times, but in reality I am here today to say (We don't need these Benzos for long periods of time. We wish you luck. Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Ruby

Ruby,
Thank you. Your words mean so much to me right now. I've taken it since 2009 to sleep. Then starting in May 3 times daily while I tried to go on numerous antidepressants that failed miserably. Was told to just take Ativan until "we get this figured out." Now I've developed tolerance and it makes me miserable with or without it.

I really had no side effects on it that I can pin point down. Just always thought I needed it to sleep. I am 62 years old now. While cutting down on it I just had the no sleep issue and shaky and nervousness. I went about 3 weeks getting about 2 to 5 at most hours a night. But I kept cutting down every 2 - 3 weeks an eighth of pill. My last dose was in February 2018 and now I sleep pretty darn good. some nights only about 5 but most nights about 7. I felt like it was the worst time of my life but had to do it and now I am okay. Just keep posting like others do and we all will support you. Family and friends don't really know what it is like unless they have taken it and gone off. Slowly 1 step at a time. Try 2 3/4 mg a day instead of 3 then in a couple weeks try 2 1/2 mg and so on. Keep us posted. Take care, Ruby
