    Hi Karen,

I was diagnosed with CES in Oct 2013 and applied for PIP in February 2014. I completed the 40page questionnaire and sent all of the medical reports and I had to wait 40weeks to be given an assessment. I was only questioned 20 mins and the lady was in such as rush and missed out a lot of things. Whenever I wanted to explain anything she was like "i got enough" and I received my decision within 10days and I was awarded standard rates for both.

I was not happy as a lot of information was missed out. I submitted more evidence and asked for a mandatory reconsideration. I had to wait 12 weeks and they stopped the benefit during that time and when decision came nothing changed 😢

So I am preparing my documents to take to a tribunal. Is there anyone here who has gone through the same? Any tips or advice?

I hope you get a favourable response Karen. How long did you wait from making an application to getting assessment interview?
