ATTN: High storage temperatures dangerous?

Posted , 4 users are following.

Hey everybody,

since I am still trying to figure out if it was just the usual effect of sertraline on the stomach which ripped it apart just minutes after swallowing it and caused me severe nerve damage (gastroparesis) or if the tablet was somehow compromised, I am wondering how you guys handle the storage of your medication - and if you have encountered some abnormalities which could be related to your medication being exposed to high temperatures.

This article https://www.nytimes.com/2011/08/16/health/16consumer.html states, that at least antibiotics can alter in its composition due to high storage temps "enabling" the medication to afflict stomach damage. So I am trying to find out, if this could have happened to my sertraline tablets, too.

What are your thoughts?

Are you cautious to what degree you expose your zoloft/sertralin to sun/temperatures?

Thanks!

I took one dry some weeks ago. It caused me severe intense pain for about 4/5 hours. I was about to go to A&E but I felt unable to move. I took Ranatadine, Gaviscon, nothing helped until it had settled itself much later.

Now I ALWAYS take with plenty of water!
