Hi All, I had vasculities haemmarge in my right eye and hence I was treated for steroids. My inflmaation in right eye is fine now. But eosonopil count is high and Im on Montek LC for 3 months. Recently I heard and read about Gluten which is major root cause for Auto Immune disease. I dont know where I caught this disease and I have no bad habits. I have done tests for TB, Bechets and all oter tests and all were negative

My question is- Is Gluten the culprit for the inflammation in the eye?

If so how can I confirm this. Also one more issue is I have come for job to UK from India and in UK I dono how to explain doctors from the beginning.

the best way to explain it is just the way you did here, exactly what happened and when it happened. You can try removing gluten from your diet and see what happens, good luck

Hi. I have a form of vasculitis...Behcet's disease. I am told constantly be specialists the following things. Vasculitis is not related to a lifestyle choice. You are born with a defective gene. I personally was sick since I was a baby.

I am also told diet has no effect on vasculitis. It can help you to feel better but neither causes nor cures it.

I think that you need to see a good soecialist. I am not sure where in the uk you are but there is a free helpline you can call with very good advice and information. They are called Vasculitis UK and it might help you to speak to them. I will post the number for you.

Thanks Margaret. I did several tests to find root cause. I had eye doctor to look after my retina n specialist to look after my body which could bring down inflammation. Now I don't have kn UK. I've registered with NHS n asked them can I see retina specialist, but they said I will have to go through general physician first n then they will refer me. Please post no k will try to contact them

Hi. Vasculitis UK are on 0300 365 0075 you do have to register with a doctor to be referred to a specialist but you can do that in half an hour. Choose a lical surgery go along with id and fill in the paperwork.

In the meantime if anything happens with your eyes and you are worried you can go to a+e. If you are in London Moirfields eye hospital are great for this kind of problem and have an emergency department.

I am not an expert but think that high eosophinal count is iften associated with Churg Strauss syndrome.

Going to eye causalty maybe an option as they will do follow up if they need to. If you are in London go to Moorfields but only if there is current problems with your eye
