Auto immune Disorder

Hi my name is Annemarie

Im 46 years old.

I have been dealing with an auto immune condition for 4 years now. I have flare ups that can last for months and generally being run down or a cold or flu can bring this condition on.

Im having a flare up now my symptoms are IBS , chronic fatigue , myalgia , brain fog, dizziness and light headedness. Even running a slight fever today. Reacting to a lot of foods so my diet is minimal.

GPs tell me sounds like fibromyalgia

Naturopaths tell me leaky gut. And have a lot of tonics and vitamins. I find it confusing as i know rest is the best remedy and sleep as much as possible. Which can be difficult as a single mum who works.

wondering if anyone else suffers with these conditions and has some insight into how i can turn my day to day health around.

Any replies would be greaty appreciated.

Thank you

Autoimmune diseases can be difficult to diagnose and I do not recommend using GP’s for this. It would be good to confirm your diagnosis. Typically, fibromyalgia is treated by rheumatologists but other specialists can also diagnose and treat it. It would be useful if you could find a fibromyalgia support group in your area, you may have to call hospitals or rheumatologists offices. They would know the best local doctors to treat it and could have many useful suggestions.
