AV node ablation and pacemaker

I would like some feedback if anyone has had or is considering an av node ablation and pacemaker to reduce the symptoms of AFib/AFlutter.  

P.S.  I am 51 y.o.

    Because of my near fatal 2nd ablation last year & the fact that medication for AF does not work or suit me at all, i assked my cardiologist if there was any other method to get rid of AF & he mentioned av node ablation &  Pacemaker, but he went on to say they only usually use this methodin in older people...i am 65 y.o.

      That's old enough although they usually say over 70's. It might give you better times.
