Hi yes I had a motorcycle accident, basucaly I came off on ice and hit my hip. As a result my hip was displaced trapping my femoral nerve. This basically meant no blood supply was going to my hip so the bone was dead ie avascular necrosis unfortunately it resulted in me needind a total hip replacement. So avascular necrosis as I understand it basically just means your bones are dead it can be a trauma accident or brittle bones thats my understanding im sure someone more qualified than me will give you a better description and advice.

    Good luck chris
