Don't worry I had epidural with light sedation. Had music playing on headphones. Time passed very quickly  and think I must have slept a bit.  You can feel some things but no pain and of course no after effects from a GA.

    Hi Sharon

I had knee replacement and I had spinal block. It's really good, you get to stay awake. I was able to chat with my surgeon and felt very relaxed and pain free. I would highly recommend it as I didn't have the after affects of the anaesthetic.

Hi Sharon I forgot to mention my surgeon informed me my new knee was of a new type that should last about 30 years (instead of the old 20 year type) I will let you know how it goes after 30 years when I am 98cheesygrin
