Awaken suddenly from sleep in a panic and high anxiety

Posted , 3 users are following.

These events have occurred over many years and sometimes won’t reoccur for over a year. Recently however might occur 3 to 4 times per week. I wake up suddenly and I must get up. I am in fear of bad things happening to me. I cannot sit down and must move. Most often I get outside and walk to calm my self down. This could last for hours. Once I calm down I will try to sleep but catch myself before I fall off to sleep. Basically my brain is afraid to go to sleep again. The most common trigger seems to be that I stop breathing just before these occur.

Sounds like you're stressing really bad over something. Is there anything on your mind that you can't seem to get over? Try self analyzing to see if you're forgetting something.

Yes I agree stress is a part of this.  A lot of things on my mind always. Nothing urgent or life threatening but I dwell on the details all the time. My dreams can often be bazaar. As my mind clears out I do sleep much better. Thanks for posting.
