B &W ointment

Posted , 10 users are following.

I was at a natural Dr recently and he stressed how I need to switch off the oils etc I use. (I know others on here say that is good for LS also).

He said after I finish my emuaid, I should switch to another product, and when I start having problems again, go back to emuaid. He wants me to use a product called B&W ointment. This is incredibly good for burns, but I'm afraid to use it in vulva area. It says not to get it on mucous membranes. Ingredient list: honey, lanolin, olive oil, wheat germ oil, marshmallow root, aloe Vera gel, wormwood, comfrey root, white oak bark, lobelia inflata, vegetable glycerin, bees wax, myrrh Any thoughts?

I am one of the people who uses none of those products. They are not recommended by my team of specialists so I use only what I am prescribed.

I use  Advantan fatty ointment most nights and Dermeze sensitive when I feel I need to moisturise.

I am happy with this treatment and keep on top of it with no burning or pain or anything negative at all.

I do have to watch for fusing though!

I know this post is old but did you ever try the ointment? I just ordered this from an Amish farmer and then read about the mucous membranes. Not sure what to do. Thanks

I did try it. It certainly relieves my anal itching. I still prefer the emuaid strongly but the B and W is good backup. I even started to use it in the vulva area with no adverse effects. Seems more gentle than emuaid but still brings relief.

If it doesn't work on your vulva, it's good to have around- amazing stuff on burns. The Amish near here treat patients with severe burns using this ointment and burdock leaves and the recovery is amazing.

I guess our steroid isn't to be used on mucous membranes either.

Price is excellent if you buy direct from the Amish.

Thank you for your reply.  I may try it because I have it.  When I first read about the product on their website I thought it sounded great because of all the natural ingredients.  The mother of the family said she has always used it on her boys for cuts, scraps and burns.  When I received the product I was a little nervous about reading the mention of not using on mucous membranes but then saw your post.  I may try a little bit on a small area and see how it goes.  Thanks again!
