B12 Deficiency

Right,

I have the following symptoms:

Cuts and grooves all over the tongue

Tiredness

Cold feet

Anxiety

Reocurring mouth ulcers

Burning tongue sometimes

I am wondering if these symptoms are of someone who is b12 deficient?

I have the doctors tomorrow regarding this but would like to get peoples views?

hi Jason. there's a possibility that it could be b12 deficiency. other conditions have these symptoms too. do have a look at the 'Pernicous Anaemia' association web-site. it's very accessible. see how many of ur symptoms overlap. most probably Doc will do a blood work up. ensure they do b12 AND FOLATE. they tend to forget the latter & low Folate can cause similar symptoms to b12 def. btw, these 2 (Folate & B12) are interdependent. one won't work without adequate amounts of the other.

Yes, to echo what Caitlin said!  Also, might as well have bloodwork done to check for Coeliac Disease. While you don't seem to have the GI symptoms, some with CD share the same symptoms as those you've listed...and CD can lead to PA or low B12.  You're having blood drawn anyway, may as well check (and hopefully rule it out) as well!

Good luck and please keep us posted!
