Back on the road again!

Wooopeee! i'm finally back behind the wheel of my cherished Mini 6 weeks post LTHR!

I got the all clear from my physio on Thursday & went out with hubby for 1st trip but all great, pleased i haven't lost my confidence & no discomfort with the gears apart from soreness along the scar.

It's great to have that freedom again but i must admit i've enjoyed the extra walking ive had to do & the lovely people i've met on walks, buses etc. i must keep up daily walks!

Good luck & encouragement to anyone starting out, its worth all the effort with exercise & regular resting too.

Margaret

Well done. I know exactly how you feel. You can now enjoy the freedom of going where you want when you want. Best wishes on a full recovery.

Congrats!! 🎊🍾 that is the best feeling cause now you can go whenever you want!! I went about 2 & 1/2 months of not driving!! When I finally was able to it was a little scary as there is a lot of construction going on in front of our subdivision and I drive I big truck! But everything is good now. Wishing you all the best!!! 🤠 LD

A BIG thank you to all fellow hippies for all your kind words of encouragement- it means a lot!

Having said that i have to admit to overdoing it the last couple pf days and you know what happens to us when we do that!!! Had a really rough night in the spare bed, my body telling me im not there yet. So today's a quiet day of recuperation & rest!

That's great. I'll be joining you tomorrow, having served my time! Can't wait to get back behind the wheel! For me it'll be my kia sportage, and I have missed her so much!

Get a dog! My dog had been my lifeline to the world outside - he has to be exercised, whether I want to or not. I was just hearing  that there will be gales and driving rain  for Christmas ( of course there will!) but me and my boy will still be out there. Along with every other dog walker. It's also good for your sense of humour. Only dog owners are crackers enough to walk in gale force weather!

Well done you! Have fun tomorrow in your Kia, the open road lies before you just take your time!

As for the dog, nice idea i must admit but sadly not for us as away a lot. Just done a long walk locally for an hour or so, feels great!
