back pain

Hello Forum buddies,
finally had root nerve injection into back. Pain has got a lot less and am hopeful it will go altogether.
Slighty disconcerted though, when I spoke top Consultant carrying out the procedure asking him how long it will last his comment was it all depends on the patient, some answer.
has anyone had first hand experience, and can give me a little bit more positivity on this injection. Is there anyone with exercises that can help. Just don't want the back pain again.
thanks

CAUTION: Too much can burn as it will get warm like the deep heat type products.
the only exercise that I can recommend is gentle stretching or lie on your back arms out as far as you can and gently bring your left arm across your shoulders as far as you can hold for 30 seconds then return arm. Do this 10 times, repeat with the right. Also while on your back bend your knees up and gently lower your knees to the left and then to the right keeping your feet flat and hold for 30 seconds each time. Again do this ten times but stop if it gets to painful.

yes had MRI etc and had some lumber bulges! Hence it was decided to go for the root nerve.
Thanks for the advice, have no problem in bed, but will try the exercises, just feel I need to do some form of strengthening routine, without going over the top to build up the back support.
Have tried the magnetic belt, but this does not seem to have helped.
Thanks for the advice.
