back pain

I have a vertebrae in my lower back that has crumbled away and so I have a lot of back pain. I have used various heat creams etc. that have helped for a few hours but i could really use something more effective as it is getting me down. Would a tens machine be useful in this instance or would it be better if I used a muscle strengthening machine to help sopport my spinal column?

I have a TENS machine that I use for a very similar problem, it is one I can clip to a belt and wear all the time if I wish or only occasionally.

It works for me and is worth looking into.

thanks - I hook onto waist band but wires trailing are a nuisance - guess easier for men. Am seeing physio today & will speak to him. Have ordered wireless TENS.

I sew a small pouch onto the waistband of my skirts and trousers. I also have several pairs of knickers with one sewn on the outside for when I wear a full length slip

same physical problem for me - good pain relief from TENS - main problem is knowing what to do with the b.....y wires. Such a practical problem but no one else seems to comment on it.

Depends which vertebra or muscle, if you want to let me know I'll ask my physiotherapist

Think I may have misunderstood, do you mean once wearing?

Bought  a wireless TENS Wi Touch Pro. It, & the gel pads, are expensive  so use alternating with wired TENS & heat pads acccording to what is going on in my life. It does work & can reccommend.
