    Hi,

My guess is that it's just a coincidence that the pain in your back began at the same time as you started on the co-codamol. You can easily check this out by stopping it for a day or so and seeing what happens with the back pain.

Hello serenity. I agree with roz. It must just be a coincidence.

With so little background info its quite hard to give an opinion tbh serenity. It is curious though that the "spread" of pain has radiated into your (lower?) back.

How did the neck pain come about? an accident|? a slow onset?

I can but offer you my own experience of similar pain I had many years ago. In my fitter days I played squash a lot and a collision on court gave rise to a really loud crack from my neck! So much so that I was amazed i was still able to move. A few days later this goddawful pain began in my shoulder- which I believe is known as "frozen shoulder"

I suffered terribly for about 2 weeks until my dad took me to a Chiropractor. She confirmed I had displaced and twisted a neck vertebrae out of line and with another alarming crack (altho no pain) twisted it back again!

Couldnt believe that such agony could be resolved so easily..it was like winning the Lotto.

To be fair, I had suffered the pain for too long and make the nerve in my shoulder inflame badly which then needed further ultra sound and laser treatment.

So- to relate this to your own circumstances-does any of this ring a bell at all? Certainly you could WELL do with visiting a chiropractor if you can afford it -for me they were a lifesaver at the time.

Good luck and I hope relief follows soon for you

Codeine causes constipation and I suffer very bad lower back pain due to this. Try taking ibuprofen to reduce inflammation and a high magnesium colon cleanse product (or just take a high dose of the liquid magnesium supplement for one day - be prepared to have access to the toilet at all times!).

I have been addicted to Cocodamol for about 7 years and suffer the pain you describe - it's actually become debilitating for me.
