Back pain due to continuously sitting on office chair

guys I am new in the office and my work is like I have to sit on the chair from 9 am to 6 pm, I joined this office almost 2 weeks age, now the problem is that i am suffering with back pain due to continuously sitting on chair for 9 hour, Kindly help me that what should i do, I already taking a medicine for this prob but during the time of medicine I feel good but after that my back pain cont again............

    Hi it's hard to advise you without knowing what country you are in as the law is different everywhere.  I am in the UK and under Health and Safety Law here your employer is obliged to make sure any equipment you use in the office is comfortable for you and conforms to the requirements.  They would adjust your chair or even give you a special one which resolved your back problems.  I don't know if your employers can do this but why not ask.

    Another solution could be to work standing up for a while if possible.  Or get up every hour or so and have a break,  use the toilet,  make a drink etc.
