Back problems 😞

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help put my mind at ease. I am 27 year old female and newly diagnosed with fibromyalgia in January 2016. I have finally accepted my diagnosis now and I'm learning to deal with it the best I can, I do have days where I still feel they have got it wrong but after so many tests and 4 different doctors I am just accepting now that it has to fibro and they can't have it wrong.
So I wanted to list a few things I have been experiencing and hopefully someone can say that they get the same thing and I am not alone here as I have spent hours searching lots of different sites online and can't seem to find anyone say "yes I have the exact same thing".. So here goes:
I have a lot of upper back pain.. From my bra strap upwards and into my shoulders and neck, this is understand is normal but what I am not sure about is when I roll my shoulders either forwards or back they crack and crunch which to me sounds and feel like bone but weirdly I get a little relief when I do it. Does anyone else have this cracking and popping and is it normal??
Also I have an ongoing issue going on within my chest area... I have had my heart and lungs checked and all clear and do not have asthma..I have episodes quite often where I have such a heavy chest that I feel like I can't draw a deep breath in? I have this horrible crushing sensation that doesn't improve by changing position. It can causes me to have wheezy breathing and makes me feel very weak when standing. Only way to describe is like somebody hugging me really tightly. This can also make my neck and throat feel tight as well.
I'm hoping someone can help me with whether I can stop stressing and accept this is normal and if anyone else has this problem too. Thanks

Hi aimee
I have the same issue with my chest
I've also had all the tests and X-rays for things from asthma to a chest infection
Everything always comes back clear
Doctor has decided it is just another symptom of the fibro
Hope this helps X

Thanks for your reply Sarah, I'm the same I've had X-rays and asthma breathing tests and always come back normal. When the tightness is at its worst is when I am wheezy and have the urge to cough and when I do I feels like a light vibration inside on my left side... Very strange but as usual nothing is found. Xx

Sounds strange I know but it works for me - most of the time anywayÂ

Hi Aimee, I actually thought the bone crunch was just me. I have pain everywhere sometimes I need to pop th neck like a chiropractor does and when I roll the shoulders or neck there's the strange crunching noise. As for the breath occasionally I get this when I feel like it's so hard to breathe. Usually get this at night time when I am lying down and feel a good yawn gets rid of the feeling but takes a while. While fibromyalgia affects us all in different ways many are the same. Don't stress you are not alone hun.

Thanks for the reply.. Yes mine is worse when I lie down too... It must be 10 years plus since I've ever been able to lie on my back. It either feels like I'm suffocating or makes me feel sick. The crunching and cracking is awful and it sounds disgusting. Quite frightening actually. If I put my hand on the backing my shoulder blade while rolling my shoulders i can feel the movement and the clicking. Xx

Wow !!!
How relieved I am to read this !!
I'm exactly he same like you. 28 years old. I got diagnosed just 3 months ago after going to so many doctors and done so many tests. Im still not accepting in every day- but most days I an. I just can't believe there is a condition like this !!!
I have also exactly the same back problem, pain and cracking. Even my partner asks what was that when the cracks come out. Some days I feel like my whole spine is on fire !
And i also cant breath. It's killing me. So frustrating. It feels exactly how you describe it. I can only get a full breath in if I lay flat on a floor. I don't even know what to do anymore.. obviously have tried everything!! But there has to be something to ease it all.
