Back to back outbreaks

Posted , 5 users are following.

Its been around 7 weeks since the first outbreak. Had already 3 back to back outbreaks. Feeling like sh*t today so had to share. Valtrex relieved symptoms a bit but then they reoccurred.

 Anyone had anything similar?

thnx

3 back to back in 7 weeks??? Omg! Are you on suppressive therapy or just take Valtrex episodically? I’m on Valtrex too and only ice packs seem to bring any real relief 😞

Third time taking it. It reliefs and shortens the outbreak lasting but it doesnt eliminate it. HSV 2 and HSV 1 unfortunately are for life.

I didn't take care of my health properly and I guess it triggered them. Stress at work happens constantly but i try to keep myself relaxed most of the time.

Im 22yo now so it kinda sucks but hey just gotta live it more chill now.

Maybe ask your doctor to give you suppressive treatment for a few months to help give you a break. It’s hard to stay calm and stress free during outbreaks. I hope you don’t get anymore. But yes all we can do is live and try to laugh each day. Thank god there are others who are going through the same thing.

    Dont worry

That doesnt mean you will be suffering for life.

Just relax and do these steps.

First. You should start long term suppressive therapy.

Second, watch yourself for trigger factors like stress, arginine rich food, masterbation, sun exposure ...etc

Third take vitamins and oral lysine tablets.

    Good luck

Me too, had herpes for 4 months and I may say I got 7 outbreaks and it sucks really.... I always get outbreaks after outbreaks. My outbreaks doesnt give so much discomfort with me its just some small blisters and become sore then got healed for a week or 2 without any medication.  I had my worst outbreaks 😷 when Im in vacation because I always go to the beach in that time everyday for 2 weeks from 8am-11am in the morning and I say Sun exposure and Sunburn is one of the cause of the herpes outbreaks.. Just know your triggers and study it live healthy and move on of what we got this is just a skin condition it can not give any complications.. Good Luck! 👋🏻
