Back to the cushion thing !

here is the deal. Sitting has become a painfull nightmare. Please help if anyone has found a cushion that helps.
Have looked at loads on Amazon and "healthcare" sites. But thought with the vast experience of hippy friends you might be able to help?
Have looked at the Repose air filled cushion that our District Nurses give out like smarties. Expensive so must be good! However it is nort a skin integrity issue as you all know. So I am thinking more of a memory foam thing.
Girly week in Greece in two weeks and 4 hour plane trip which I am beginning to dread. Had no idea of the OA and pending hip replacement when it was booked.
Booked as a revenge for the "boys" skiing trip - think grey hair here!
The pain is so getting me down. I comfort myself with the thought that it is not life threatening and we are lucky enough to have the option of a replacement joint. Terrifying as it is!!!!!
So girly trip is not going to be what I thought. NO tennis for me, I will be "looking after" the sun loungers!
like a lot of us I was always the power house and thought I had a pulled hip flexor for ages! Now hobbling around like an old lady. I hate it.
Sorry turned in to a bit of a rant. !
Any help with the cushion thing would be gratefully received.
The picture is of my dog Alfie. Constant companion and makes me go for a walk every day- thanks Alfie!

I bought a foam square, cheap and cheerful. You can get them in different sizes and different thicknesses. I bought a 4" one to raise the height of my recliner chair. My o/t recommended it when she said my recliner was a couple of inches too low.
You can have a look online.

I know that many of us here know how you feel - not only the darn pain but also a feeling of having been betrayed by my body (that was a biggie for me) - why couldn't it have been just a pulled groin muscle ????
anyway ..
I agree with you about dreading to go on the trip - you can ask for wheelchair assistance at the airport - just do it if they offer it - no need to be ashamed - check in and boarding privilages are nothing to sneeze at ..
Sorry I can;t help with the cushion thing -
big warm hug
