Back to work

Hi all, I’ve gone back to work after having 8 months off with severe sciatica, went back because my sick pay ran out , not because I am anywhere near better!!

Anyway I am in more pain than ever even with using a TENS machine, not sure what else I can do other than just suffer!!

What jobs would you recommend doing with having this problem ( I am a Learning Support assistant in a primary school), am looking at other jobs but not sure what would be suitable x

I’m a social media manager working from home with my laptop on a bracket so I can lie on one side. Not surprised you’re struggling, that’s an active job, is there anything you could do online perhaps? Admin or support job maybe? Just until you’re a bit better for your usual work. Wishing you well x

Hi, thanks for replying, I’vee just been signed off for another 5 days because I’m waiting for the Naproxen to kick in, to be honest they are making me feel sick, I hope it passes.

As for the job front  I feel like I’m stuck because no one will employ me in my current condition sad

Working from home sounds ideal smile

I wish I could work from home too as it would solve alit of problems ...x

I completely understand, I had to give up my last office based job due to back issues and did struggle for years as a result, but had no choice but to do it alas. Although typing aggravates my symptoms I count myself as lucky to be able to do it, it’s not guaranteed and could end at any time. Work is a big worry with medical issues. Wishing you the very best in your recovery x
