Bad back pain and legs Collapsing after lumbar puncture

it’s been over two weeks and but from the day afterwards my knees are buckling on both legs and I can hardly stand or walk. It’s really scary and distressing. I already have MS and this lumbar puncture was for the possibility of getting onto a drugs trial which seemed the best thing I could do because I have been diagnosed with primary progressive MS which they keep telling me there are no medications or any treatment for. I was doing well for around 10 years Then I had this lumbar puncture and I wasn’t warned of any side-effects anything like this but now I can hardly walk or stand. Now I’m reading that other people on the Internet are saying they’ve had effects from the lumber punctures that haven’t gone away. I’m extremely unhappy about this because obviously I would never have had it done if I had been advised there could be any side-effects I was only advised that there was a 1 in 1000 chance of paralysis from hitting a nerve. What bothers me so much is that Ive contacted the MS nurse and consultant as well as the Doctor who performed this Spinal Tap and I’ve just been referred to A&E 'if i feel worried and it doesnt go away' but I know they’re not gonna know what to do in A&E more than a specialist neurologist who ive already been in touch with so that seems pointless and what makes me so angry is that I know I have no other reason to have started to feel this way after the procedure and I wasn’t expecting it so it isn’t psychological because there was nothing in my mind I wasn’t scared until this happened so I wasn’t thinking about it and now I read by doing more in-depth Internet research the other people have had similar symptoms that don’t go away that have affected their legs and back ; well if these reports are ignored like mine is being amd not included in the stats then how can the stats be accurate? so scary because this is what I found with the medical profession the advice thats given is only as good as the stats that are collected so we are not well informed if theyre not

Go to the ER? You may need imaging. Lumbar punctures are safe but things can happen.
