Bad Breath/reflux? pnd? infection? Something else?

Hi,
I wasn't sure where to put this duscussion.
I've had bad breath (especially horrendous morning breath) for as long as I can remember. Probably for a good 10 years or so? (I'm 29)
I've also experience what I think is possible post nasal drip (tongue is always coated. Often feel mucus on back of throat and need to clear my thoat)
and some sort of acid reflux in my throat (occasional burning sensation below my adams apple)
Both the possible PND and reflux seemed to come on after already having bad breath for a numbe of years though, so i'm not sure if they're even related? The reflux feeling is fairly infrequent.
I also occasionally get tonsil stones.
I have good oral health. Brush twice per day, floss, moutwash. Dentist confirmed gums are healthy.
Yet I can taste bad breath coming on again shortly after my morning routine.
NOW, I recently took metronidazole for something completely unrelated, and to my utter amazement, my breath became as fresh as a babies! Reflief after a decade! Even my morning breath smelt of nothing.
I was so happy until I read online that other people had experienced this phenomenen, but that the bad breath returns when you stop taking the antibiotic.
I stopped taking it 4 days ago, and I think that my breath may finally be reverting back This morning wasn't quite as fresh as yesterdays. I'm depressed now that my bad breath is likely to return in full force within a few days.
I'm wondering if anyone can shed any light?
Anyone been in the same boat and found a cure?
Can any knowledge be gained from the fact that the antibiotic temporaily cured me or not?

This morning I had my laser procedure. It wasn't cryptolysis as in fact most of my tonsils were removed with the laser, so it was a partial laser tonsillectomy. Today I am in mild discomfort and have been taking otc painkillers to counter it. It is manageable pain. Hopefully when the area is healed I will be able to detail whether my symptoms have changed or not. I'll check in later.

if it changes nothing i won't despair though. I, as many of the rest of us, have come such a long way already that I do not let one failed attempt at a cure bring me down. Hopefully I have found it this time...

Right so I've narrowed it down with an oral care regime:
Brush my tongue with a tongue brush (much better than using a toothbrush, i'm not really sure how that works but it does for me)
Brush my teeth as usual
Now I clean my tonsils. I was just using cotton-buds (q-tips) to poke out tonsil stones but I feel much much cleaner when I get them cleaned out. I tried using my electric flosser but it was too powerful and made my tonsils bleed on the lowest power setting. I picked up some of those plastic syringes with a curved plastic tip to fill with water and mouthwash and squirt into my tonsils, but they were really difficult to aim so I ditched them fast.
I found this really cheap, chinese, poorly-made flosser that uses a hand-pump (you have to press a button for water to shoot out once and at whatever power you press the button with), which seems to be perfect for cleaning my tonsils and keeping them stone-free. I fill it with water and a little bit of mouthwash then squirt it gently into the visible crypts in my tonsils. When i'm done I don't taste that 'dirty' taste in my mouth for a long time (you probably know what i'm talking about if you're in this thread).
That leaves my mouth feeling nice and clean for a couple of hours but what i've noticed is when I tilt my head back I get this foul smell/taste at the back of my throat. Now i've never been diagnosed with a sinus infection but i've always suspected I have a chronic, weak infection, because I have no facial pain or pressure, just this bad smelling drainage.
As I mentioned in previous posts I have had endoscopies and a CT scan which ruled out any sign of infection, so this is my next hurdle in the race against bad breath. I've started using a Neti pot again, focusing completely on the frontal sinuses in the cheeks because I think they are draining into my throat when I put my head back, maybe they aren't draining properly and mucus is stagnating and allowing bacteria to breed?
I seriously think I have made progress with this quite basic and easy-to-do oral care regime so please, have a go at it if you feel you could benefit. I have felt so confident lately when people have been in my personal space in public (I normally talk away from people, avoid eye contact because I don't want them to come close and talk to me, i'm sure some of you feel the same way to an extent).
Anyway I will persevere with the neti pot and oral care regime and give you an update if I make a breakthrough of some sort.
Sorry if this hard to read, my sentence structure and paragraphing is atrocious.

i've found just a gentle brush with a tongue brush gets my tongue from pink to white in about 2 minutes, there's really no need to damage your tongue by trying to scour it off when all it is is a layer of dead skin and bacteria

My health insurance will only pay for 1/4 the price of endoscopy so I didn't go through with it.
I don't really know where the bad smell comes from. Even when my mouth is close, people beside me are rubbing or covering their nose. I am confident it's not my body smell. Also, I'm not a room filler and I think my bb is not that strong.
I am hoping this is just a phase and my bb will be cured once I de-stress ay home. I am eating healthy now and I feel that it helped make the bb less smelly.
Here's what I think has helped lessen my bb:
Eating more alkaline food, reducing acid forming food
Psyllium husk everyday, very helpful!
Probiotics 1 yakult morning & evening, 3 caps acidophilus morning and evening
Chlorophyll caps to be more alkaline
Papaya digestive enzyme after eating. Because I'm acidic, digestive enzymes gets destroyed so the food I eat just ferments in my stomach. (This is why some people smell like alcohol or poo)
I also stopped dieting too much. Low carb diet will give you keto breath.

My son has horrendous bad breath for years with occasional acid relux and/or belching. Doctors always blew it off. Then after about two years of losing friends because his breath was do bad, he had an atrach of vomiting which brought him to the er. Turns out he had 17 ulcers in his duobdemin. He's on protonix now and no bad breath. When it did come back once in two years of treatment, ulcers were back and fise needed to be doubled.
