Bad dreams, bad sleep and dry eyes on sertraline?

Hi all.  Anyone deal with any of those problems while on sertraline?  When I first started on sertraline (100 mg dosage) I never had any issues.  Then my doctor switched me to Cymbalta to try to help with chronic pain.  It didn't work so I moved back to sertraline.  Now I am having bad dreams, bad sleep and dry eyes.  Just wondered what the heck is going on.  It's been a few weeks since I was on Cymbalta and my move back and forth seemed like it went pretty well (aside from some really moody days).  I do plan on making an appointment and speaking to my doc about it but I just wondered what experiences anyone had, how you handled it, etc.  Thanks!

    Hi Carolyn,

I’m sorry you are struggling and dealing with pain. I too have had more vivid dreams though not too many nightmares, mostly very detailed dreams that have me shaking my head when I wake up.  I am dealing with dry eyes and felt it early on. I’ve been taking S for 7 weeks, I’m up to 50ml. I actually find my eyes, lips and skin to be dryer, especially my lips. Best luck and hugs. - x kat
