Also try drinking some Gatorade or poweraid too as water flushes out a lot of minerals which we really need during this time. If you don't have any Gatorade mix water and sea salt ( or Himalayan salt) with a bit of honey too.,

I had this too, and tried lots of different remedies, some of which helped a wee bit, but my job is market research, so I have to talk a lot, which makes it even worse. I also had the burning mouth and really sore tongue with the dry mouth, which made me really anxious. So I began by putting the vit b complex drops on my tongue a few times a day. I was advised by the chemist to use biotene, an alcohol free mouth rinse which helps dry mouth and took liquid iron supplement, too, leaving it in my mouth for as long as possible. At night time, I make sure my nose is clear by using a nasal spray, and try to sleep with my mouth shut, as breathing through your mouth makes it so dry, you wake in a panic. My tongue seems to have got better, and the dry mouth is manageable, so something has worked. However, you don't say if you are on hrt, as hormone imbalance is one of the causes of dry mouth. It's taken six months to get rid of many of my symptoms after getting my hrt settled. Hope this helps?

Sorry I'm just getting back to you. I put it all over my lips, that seems to help me a lot, even at night. Mine doesn't seem so bad when I'm eating but without anything in my mouth its sore or dry. I did a lot of chewing sugar free gum and candy, it always seemed to help too! Good luck let me know how the vaseline helped you!

Were you told that's it BMS burning mouth syndrom? Not fun that's for sure and they don't know what causes it, so guess no medication for it really either. Read that b12 might help, also brushing my teeth with just plain old baking soda helped me too, nasty taste but it helped. Let me know if any of what I've mentioned helped you, the b12 might take awhile to help it, I've stopped that now although I have b12 in my multi vitamin too! I did read that menopause can bring on BMS so go figure!!!
