Bad estogen metabolism which doctors say contributes to PCOS. Using DIM but depression side effects

Looking for causes of my PCOS for years and years. The doctors are telling me that my genetics are contributing to it, by the way estrogen is broken down and processed in my body. They've recommended DIM for me, which is supposed to encourage the body to use better metabolic pathways. I've started taking DIM a few times, and each time I do, it makes me feel moody and depressed. I stop it, and the feelings go away. I've been searching for possible depressive side effects of DIM and have found nothing! Wondering if anyone else has had this reaction to DIM and if it's normal, and what could be happening. I don't want to stop if I don't have to!
