    Hey Rachel

I had that too - Restless Leg Syndrome! My hubbie thought i had been taking drugs! The good news is that it DOES settle down and go (well for me it did) the bad news is that it took nearly a month

Be assured what you are experiencing esp the insomnia is normal with ME and I truey know how you are feeling - tired, achy, unable to function properly and most of all totally miffed!

I was wondering if you was in employment at the min?

I hate that restless leg stuff. It doesn't hurt, it just feels so weird, moving and moving. I get phases of it, feels like I've been climbing hills.

Funnily enough it is worse when I have had a day or two of now taking any exercise at all. If I just do a little dog walk each day it isn't so bad

My doc told me if i get it is to get up and go out for a walk, which yeae does work but it also wakes me up so i carnt sleep either way, i guess as were not doin as much as we did before we have alot of stored energy to burn and thats our bodys ways of getting rid ??

    Hi there everyone

I think we can all relate to your insomnia and restless legs, Rachel. smile

But I get restless ARMS as well, which is just awful - (I'm still laughing at the thought ot Jay's legs doing the can can!!  ). But that really does describe it perfectly - trouble is my arms are akin to a semaphore trafficator in action at the same time! (Bet you youngsters don't know what that even is - just testing!!).

The can can - ha ha ha ..... you realise Jay, that whenever any of us get restless legs we'll be thinking of you from now on!!

:bus: I still like the idea of a bus .........

    Hi all

Last night i had a really weired experience, although i wasnt doing the cancan Katie !!! every time i was on the verge of sleeping my body would suddenly shock me, like when ur heart stops for a rest, but it must have happened bout 10 times as if my body was scared of going to sleep, and i was really tired too, but when i did eventually get to sleep i semiconsciencly woke up, i could hear everything around me but it was like i was parralised and couldnt even breath, so i had to force myself back to sleep and woke up properly, i was soooo worn out by it all when i got up this morning i felt i needed to sleep for a week, not a nice experience at all and hope i dont go through it again !!

    take care all

Sorry to hear you had a bad night Jay. I had a grotty one too. Took ages to go to slepp, then kept waking up hurting and sweating and at 3 am I had to take some tablets to get back to sleep.

It is hard isn't it? This condition puts so much onto us and then we are even denied escape through sleep sometimes.

    Take care of yourself today.
