Hello Paul,
I'm new here, too. I suffer from Pancreatitis, too. Right now, I'm having a problem with it. It started Tuesday night, and I don't know why it flared up. I thought it was heartburn, but the pain got worst. I know this sounds crazy, but I drank Coke Zero and the pain calmed down a bit. I've been on liquids since Tuesday. No Thanksgiving meal for me. I thought I was doing better, but right now I'm feeling nausea, not much, but some. I hope to get to the doctor tomorrow.
Basically, what I have done is stopped drinking the first time it flared up, and I have not had a problem until this year. I have enjoyed some fried foods, and desserts, and I think that is the problem. I've been told not to eat full meals like normal anymore, but to eat small amounts of food, several times a day. The fried foods are a NO NO. It easy to forget this when you've have felt good for a few years. It takes a very strict diet to keep it under control, or it did for me. I've been told that smoking hurts it too, but everything bad seems to be blamed on smoking. It's the only vice I have left. That's what I can tell you. A very bland diet. No drinking. It's depressing!

Hi anjie50950
(Dad writing for his son Paul)
Thanks for your email, I have never touched any alcohol and have never smoked, I also have autism and don't get out much.
I am having issues with my GP alls I want is to have some painless days, I hope to get some good advice and maybe some pointers for help.
Do you suffer in the morning when you wake up and does this cause vomiting?
Paul
