Ive been having anxiety for some time. mostly health anxiety and panic attacks. i was prescribed zoloft months ago and didnt take well one night 12 days ago after having a panic attack i took a zoloft because i wanted to regain control of my life finally. The next day I woke up with 24/7 anxiety and shortness of breath. I continued to take the medication for 10 more days not realizing that it was the possible cause of making me feel not my self. yesterday i stopped taking it and felt 60 percent better and today i woke up with the feeling of dread again. have zoloft ruined me at this point?

That is what happened to me too, Tiffany. After being off Zoloft for 8 months, my anxiety got higher and higher, so i decided to go back on it, 50 mg. The night i took it and the day after were dreadful, I had very intrusive thoughts, very high anxiety, racing mind and heart, depersonalization, I thought i was going crazy. i stopped taking it and talked yo my doctor and was advised to start on a lower dose and increase it gradually. 8 weeks in, I am at 50 mg and feel better. I may increase it to 100 mg , as per my doctor's advice. I am also taking some supplements and feel they help.

I do not think the Zoloft ruined you, you need to give it some time to start working. They said that the anxiety gets worse before starts getting better, I agree with that. I have been there and know how hard it is and this forum really helped me going through all this.
