Bad Wind Lol

After years of heavy drinking, and not being able to sort it out off my own back,i finally conceded myself to the fact,i need help. I am currently undergoing an alcohol rehabilitation programme, being pescribed Disulphiram(Antibuse),and Thiamin(Vitamin).Been taking these for 9-10 weeks now, read through all side effects, but there is nothing mentioned about my violent wind Lol. I go to the toilet daily, normally solid,no diarrhea. Has anybody else experienced this with the same cocktail i take daily

Most of us that have had alcohol issues, have taken thiamine at some time and I don't remember anyone having issues with it.

As for Antabuse it is not well thought of here, it is seen as something from a bygone era. An ineffective punishment drug, that unfortunately, is all too popular with the alcohol recovery centres. I think just about everyone I know or who have heard, that is on Antabuse ends up drinking on it and being very ill.

There are far better medications available today. For that reason, I think you are going to find anybody using Antabuse, but you might get lucky.

Hi tony...the "wind" sounds like your digestive tract/colon is trying to figure out what is going on and possibly healing.

Better to have "wind" than to be 5 sheets to the "WIND".
